  • The Philadelphia Department of Public Health (PDPH)’s Substance Use Prevention and Harm Reduction Division is hiring a Public Restroom Specialist (CDL/NON CDL) who will be responsible for servicing and maintaining public restrooms. The individual filling this position will coordinate daily with city partners to assure units are cleaned, safe, accessible, and supplied with toiletries. The Public Restroom Specialist will also be responsible for creating and sending daily reports on the conditions of the public restrooms and identifying areas of concern. Individuals filling this position must be comfortable working with vulnerable populations. The Public Restroom Specialist will work closely with staff in the Health Department, the Department of Behavioral Health and Intellectual Disability Services, the office of Homeless Services, the Department of Public Property, Parks and Recreation, CLIP, and the Opioid Response Unit in the Managing Director’s Office.

  • This position is responsible for providing programmatic leadership within the Philadelphia Department of Public Health (PDPH)’s Division of Substance Use Prevention and Harm Reduction (SUPHR). Emphasis is placed on overseeing outreach services and education outside of the Kensington neighborhood, with a particular emphasis on racial equity. The person filling this position will work closely with the Harm Reduction and Environmental Services managers and collaborate on outreach initiatives. The Community Engagement Program Manager will report to the Deputy Division Director of SUPHR and work closely with staff within the Division, community-based organizations, and other city and state government agencies.

  • This position will serve as the Grants and Reporting Manager for the Philadelphia Department of Public Health’s Division of Substance Use Prevention and Harm Reduction (SUPHR). This new position will identify new funding opportunities, initiate and manage grant applications, and ensure accurate reporting to grantors. This position may be asked to take the lead in writing grant applications, and support program staff in developing grant applications. This position will report to the SUPHR Division Director.

    SUPHR has nine programs: Neonatal Abstinence Syndrome Surveillance and Outreach (NAS), Overdose Death Review (OD Stat), Bereavement Support, Communications, Environmental Services, Harm Reduction, Data Analysis & Epidemiology, Medical, and Community Engagement. The mission of SUPHR is to prevent drug-related deaths and the potential harms associated with drug use. We advance programs and policies that promote the dignity, autonomy, and health of people who use drugs.
